Any gardeners here? (Sprinkler system question)

My aunt left for 2 weeks, and came back to find her grass was yellow and the sprinklers weren't working anymore. I can't figure out what's wrong. She has 4 watering zones hooked up to a timer. And the timer works fine, but the water just dribbles out of the sprinkler heads.

What could have broke to cause the sprinkler heads in all the zones to fail?

If water is dribbling, then you are still getting water from the source, just not a lot of it. Each zone is controlled by a valve, which is of course controlled by the timing system. The source of the problem is probably before the valves. Maybe there is a clog somewhere preventing the water from flowing at the desired pressure.`
