I haven't played either, but I always almost heard Plants vs Zombies mentioned at the same time. Both are tower defense, so I assume if you enjoy one you'll enjoy both.

Agreed.

It's overall not as good, not as polished but brings a few different things to the table which make it still an extremely good TD game.

Haven't tried SS yet, but PvZ is fun. It's a lot more clicky and faster-feeling than def grid.

But if you mean a good Windows game then the only one I can think of is Sol Survivor, and I didnt like it as much. I bought Azgard Defense a while back when it was on sale. OK, but gets ridiculously hard on later stages. Good news is it comes with about 60 maps and you can also make your own. Bad news is most of them arent much fun.

Yep. I'm not much of a TD fan, but I'm really digging Revenge of the Titans.

many free flash based ones. Starcraft II TD, GemCraft, Cursed Treasure are top 3 IMO. (Baloon TD is also fun)

Anyone tried or done the "Master Strategist" Steam achievement? You have to get a gold medal on all challenge modes. I'm grinding through it now, and man, some of the 'green tower only' ones are pretty hard. I mean, I can beat the level, but getting the gold medal score is tough.

Finally beat it. I think the hardest part, by far, was getting a gold medal on the "Out of Fuel" level with green towers only. Almost as hard as the Starcraft 2 TD. 🙂

I love Swords & Soldiers HD, the humor's pretty decent and it's a load of fun. I'm about 80% into the game and it's becoming almost too challenging. Definitely a good spin on the typical TD game.
