Any gain with Forceware drivers with a Ti4200 board?

Right now the drivers I am using seem fine. I can run Call of Duty at 1024x768, same with Max Payne 2, etc. so I am reluctant to upgrade the drivers unless there is some advantage.

Will I see any boost with my older GeForce board and the new drivers or are they built mostly for the newer boards?

Thanks

You should upgrade...performance doesn't jump that much, but the IQ is MUCH better than any 40 series driver.

As for FPS...I gained about 2... 😛

The IQ is so worth it though.

For those of you who don't want to read the Firingsquad article. Here is the conclusion for the type of video card I was talking about.

"We saw some tangible performance gains with GeForce4 Ti 4200 and GeForce4 Ti 4600, which was pretty surprising considering NVIDIA has essentially had two years to tweak their drivers for these cards. The performance improvements aren?t as substantial as some of the ones you?ve seen in the past from previous driver releases, but they?re not something to quickly dismiss either, Splinter Cell and Quake 3 both saw some nice gains.

Check out these new drivers, play around with the new 2D features, and guess what, you don?t have to worry about NVIDIA?s pseudo-trilinear in D3D applications! GeForce4 runs AF just fine with UT 2003."
