I need to view an Excel spreadsheet on a Macintosh, and don't feel like spending a huge lump of cash on new software. The spreadsheet in question has a whole bunch of crazy VB macros, and doesn't seem to work too well with NeoOffice. Any suggestions?

If you're wondering, the spreadsheet in question is Jeff Bagby's very nice Passive Crossover Designer.

Microsoft just released (yesterday) office live or something like that for free. Word, excel, PP online for free.

google office live should be first link.

Dunno if macros will work. Not sure if even office for mac will work with macros or addons. Kinda sucks

I should probably specify that the issue is specifically one of visual basic macros - specifically, I can't use the spreadsheet without them, and Office for Mac can't run them.

Are you using an Intel Mac? Is this a one time thing or something you need to do on a regular basis?

The trial versions of Crossover Mac and Office 2007 should do the trick if your needs are less then the trial periods.

parallels or free likewise
win7 (free 120+ days)
office 2010 (free for 30+ uses per vm) (snapshot back to keep this for 120+ days)

not a bad way to do it perfect

The spreadsheet in question has a whole bunch of crazy VB macros <---

do not use the 64 bit office 2010 :) stick to 32 bit if you have VB macro's. nothing will render them perfectly but a windows copy of office. probably the same version if they are super sketchy written.
