I tried posting this in the Video section but I didnt get any responses.

I have a Theater 550 Pro tv tuner and it uses CyberLink PowerCinema. Power Cinema has always ben slow and laggy and uses a lot of memory. Now Im starting to have this problem where I can only watch TV through it on my primary monitor, when I drag the window do the secondary monitor, the video cuts out, but the sound is still there.

Are there any free TV tuner programs that I can use with my 550 Pro? Something simple that will watch and record TV.

Not sure if its compatible or not. I don't feel like looking it up, but GB-PVR might work. You'll have to see if your tuner is compatible.

Here is a review of the software, its an older review though so any flaws they find might be gone now Review

Sorry I couldn't help more

Just downloaded it and I like it. I still have some configuring to do and I cant get it to update the channels automatically, but so far I like it. Its much faster than that crappy cyberlink and is plays on both monitors. Thanks.

That GB-PVR looks nice.

Another option is Yahoo's meedio-based tv software. Can't remember the name, as it's been quite a while since I tried it, but it's out there on Yahoo for free.

I've been using VLC to display my S-Video input. It's kind of a pain to set up, but it more or less works.
