No, you can actually do it if your phone supports GPS tracking which mine does. I've only found a pay site and it only supports nextel.

how would someone know you were tracking your own phone? You want someone to create a way to let you track cell phones as long as you promise to only track your own?

You can be tracked and located by your cell phone as long as it is on. I am sure the Govt is subsidizing cell phone companies.
