Any free registry cleaners out there?

Before I pull the trigger on blowing some cash on one of these things, I was just curious. Is there ANY registry cleaner out there that does more then do a full scan and show you all the problems you have, while doing jack squat about it? Fixing 5 out of hundreds of errors once and once only doesn't count.

I've never seen any performance from Reg cleaners but a free one is CCleaner.

Why? Cleaning a few registry entries out will do nothing for perfromance, if that's what you're thinking.

Cleaning a registry will remove bad links that could take processing time to try and resolve... I use the free trial of macecraft's powertools.

I disagree with the assumption there is no performance gain with registry cleaning. I have Fix-It-Utilities which
includes a very good cleaner. If the registry is kludged up enough the performance gain is noticable especially
on a win98 machine.
