Any FREE real time stock quote sites?

Need something real time, free, and preferrably not requiring me to sign in. Recently started a day job after many years working nights, and it's got some rather draconian internet monitoring policies, so I'd rather not sign into my Scottrade account. I like Google Finance, but it and Yahoo and Marketwatch all seem to have a 20 or 25 minute delay.

Is there anything out there that's free and has no or significantly less delay?

There aren't any sites that I know of that offer free realtime streaming quotes, but it is possible to get for almost free. OpenTick is an open source data feed that only charges for the respective exchange fees. For example, if you want nasdaq or nyse quotes you need to pay $1/mth for each.

To receive the quotes tho, you need a software platform. NinjaTrader is a decent free option that you could use that supports the Opentick feed.

Opentick has most of the major stock symbols for the listed exchange, altho not all of them. They also offer subscriptions for other products as well, altho the exchange fees for futures and others are generally more than $1/mth.

Unfortunately it requires you to sign in which you didn't want, but that's the only way I know to get free (atleast almost free) realtime quotes. Its these exchange fees and data license agreements that generally prohibit the average site from offering free streaming quotes.

Nice. I guess I'm not completely opposed to registering/signing into a site...just a bit wary of doing so with a password that gives access to my money. For just information I don't mind. Thanks...I will check OpenTick out.

Only if they are free I believe.
