Any free alternatives to Catalyst Media Center and Windows MC

I can't seem to get either one to play nice with my setup (in sig.) I want to know if there are any freeware programs out there that will play nice?

EDIT: The video is choppy, and seems very poor. That is if it shows up at all. It almost never detects any channels when I do the scan. This is in both CMC and WMC. I am also thinking there may be something wrong with the way I have it setup. I have the cable split before the set top box that Brighthouse sent to us for digital cable. But since was the software forum I just wanted to know what alternatives there are out there.

ok, your system seems more than capable.

do you have the output (SD) of your digital box connected to the coax input (SD) of your 650 tuner?

That is how mine is setup except I am using 550 pro from Sapphire. To change channels I use the MS MCE remote kit. I use XP MCE 2005 and your version of Vista (home premium) also contains MC. The setup is similar. If it was setup like mine, SDTV should be just fine.

yeah i just hooked up the analog cable, and the digital antenna, and WMC works fine with that setup. lesson learned. i don't need QAM, I guess.
