any flat panel speaker recommendations?

hey i'm building a box for a friend for school, dorm room style, so i need some speakers for her, and she just "has" to have flat panel ones, so does anyone have any good/bad experiences? I haven't looked around a lot but there don't seem to be many different brands that make them... monsoon comes to mind... anyone?
