Any flat-panel LCD over 50" on the market?

Anyways, I recently got an MDP-130 for my computer which has a 2005FPw and I recorded HD programming onto my hard drive. I showed my parents what HD picture looks like and they were sold immediately.

Our 45" Mitsubishi rear projection is once again on the fritz and instead of repairing it yet again, we have decided that it's time for an HD set.

We're pretty much sold on an LCD flat panel, I don't think we're going to get a plasma. We're definitely not going to get a DLP, since we want to be able to hang it up on the wall if we can.

I know that Sharp has a 45" 1080p TV and Samsung has a 46" 1080p TV, but are there any LCD-TVs more than 50"?

TIA 🙂

Wow, I wish I had personal experience that could help you out. 1080p in a 50+" LCD, drool.

Sorry not any help at all. I'll let you know if I happen to come across any.

I think plasma might be your only option for now in that size. I don't know if there are any plasmas that run true 1080p resolution, though.

Well, I remember Samsung had plans for a 54" and/or 57" LCD, but they are not on the market.

And plasma's highest resolution on the market is 1366x768
