a car buffer

thats if you've ever used one before cause they can be pretty mean

edit. actually go to your local automotive store and pick up a wax pad and get a bottle of polish that has some grit to it. if you really wanna get pretty get a bottle of wax to go over the window after you use the polish.

i used to work at a honda dealership as a automotive detailer so i used that stuff a lot. it does work. i've fixed CDs that way also.

You might try Meguiar's plastic cleaner and polish before going to more intensive solutions such as a buffer. I've used this on my convertible's plastic rear window with great results. You can buy it at some auto parts stores, but it's not easy to find. Sometimes it's mixed up with the marine or refinishing supplies, not the car waxes. If you can't find it locally. Here are links for the cleaner and polish.

New window's cheap...

But you can use Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. Cheap, and will work great to polish out the scratches.

When I worked in a pet store, all our display tanks were acrylic. I used that stuff to rub out scratches from customers and it worked awesome, and was a heck of a lot cheaper than the Novus stuff we sold on the shelves. ;)

Another vote for Meguiar's plastic polish - used for years to take scratches out of helmet face shields and fairings. If you can't find it at your regular auto parts place, try any shop that caters to motorcyclists.

Meguirs works from what I have heard, but the stuff I use works great. It is made by Novus, and you need to get the #1 Plastic cleaner and the #2 Plastic polish and scratch remover. Most Harley Davidson dealerships carry it since it is used on helmet visors and motorcycle wind screens....removed deep scratches on a case window that was damaged in transit.....:)
