Does anyone already have their Abit IT7-Max2 motherboard installed and running? Any first impressions about this motherboard? I would like to know what kind of setups you might have, how much overclocking you are personally getting out ot it? How stable is it? Any problems with the motherboard design, does it fit in your case well? Any information you can give would be great...

Yeah, I'm dying to put this together with the 2.4 but it simply is not worth the extra $2- $300 to me. There just isn't enough of gain over the KT333 to justify an extra 2 or 3 Ben(s) - as in Franklin. :)

However, this is definitely the most interesting of all the really new Intel boards. IMHO

What he means is that the price/performance gain over going Intel is not enough to justify the extra money to spend. Where as a KT333 motherboard with all the fancy stuff like the IT7-Max2 has will cost about 50-75 less. Drop in the CPU and you will save money in the tripple digits like he says.

Sure the performance will not be as good. But only in benchmarks. You would see no difference in speed.

But... I am waiting for Intel to support 8X AGP before I lose my Duron 800.
Overall the IT7-MAX2 looks like a good board. I would like someone to post their experience.
