Okay, heres my newegg cart... I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on this, but only after a few of you look at it and give your opinions. I have about 1k$ to spend on this, a little more/less if need be. I decided to leave it at 4Gb ram for now and just get two more gb later. Anything you'd change or upgrade? I'm going to be doing some light gaming and a lot of multi tasking. I have an Nvidia 8800GT OC already, so I'll add another on down the road.

I'd get another kit of ram, i have rma'd 3 of 6 Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800 DIMM's

$170 is pretty expensive for a P35 board? what do u need on that board that a $100 or $120 P35 motherboard doesn't have?
There are better coolers out there such as the TRUE, Tuniq tower, ACF7P,... did u do ur research?

The antec900 is also only a mediocre case (quality wise.) there are much better quality cases out there such as Lian Li and Silverstone.
The Antec PSU is also mediocre, why not a Corsair 520

I concur with all points, especially the PS. The case is all personal preference, but I liked the p-182 better than the 900.
<-- Has the Corsair 520.

I have been researching for a couple of weeks. Someone posted a link to test on here and it was showing the OCZ Vendetta as the one that cooled the best. They are sold out though. The one I picked was the one that run 2nd in the test.

I'm not picky about a motherboard. I need SLI, ability to use 8gb ram and a board that is new enough to be able to use a Q9300 cpu. I think thats about all the requirements.
Pick me out a better one, I'll buy it. I've looked through about 30 of them so I had finally just picked one.

I like the style on that case, and the ps on the bottom. I wanted a full case but I can't find one I like for a decent price.

Suggestions Welcome.

One set of benchmarks is definitely not enough to judge what's good and what's bad unless you're testing them yourself. You should look up as many as reliable tests and benchmarks as you can. If you were investing a few hundred dollars in anything else, wouldn't you ask for more than one opinion? But then again, I guess that's what you're doing here ;). I'd definitely go with Arctic Freezer 7 Pro at that price, or pay the extra few bucks for a Xigmatek HDT-S1283. Tuniq Towers are are around $45 and have been one of the leading performers, at least, on this forum.

I wasn't aware motherboards that had two PCI-E slots natively supported SLi. I could've sworn motherboards needed an nForce chipset that specifically stated it supported SLi, to be able to use SLi.

And definitely pick up a cheaper set of memory. No reason to overpay when you don't get anything out of it besides saying the name. G.Skill makes RAM equally as good if not better for $30 cheaper.

Corsair PSU FTW.

Will an Asus P5N-E SLI board work with a Q9300? I'm trying to get my order together but I still gotta pick out the board.
