Any fans of the old (1999) game Outcast?

The original Outcast is still one of my favorite games. Since GoG picked it up I have replayed the game a couple of times and it is still pretty fun.

Anyhow, it seems that the original devs bought the rights to the game and have a Kickstarter going to make a reboot of the original game.

Part of me wishes they were making Outcast 2 instead of a remake of the original, but even getting a reboot of the old material is enough to get my money (first Kickstarter I have supported).

I am. I picked it up awhile back on GoG as well. Never did finish it so at some point I plan on playing through it.

i remember reading reviews and images of the game when i was young in a magazine, and the game looked so good but i never played it... im glad there will be probably a remake, ill be sure to pick it up

I played it in 1999. Liked the game...well done with very simple MKB commands.
Would be interested in a remake.

Yep, I played it back when it was released as well. I played it again a couple of years ago when GoG got it as well. Being voxel based, the graphics really aren't that bad even today, but a HD remake would still be pretty neat.

As I recall, the Moscow Symphony Orchestra provided the music to the game. I wonder if the new one will have a full orchestra as well.
