I was tuning the radio and I hear "the Savage Nation" come on. This guy, Michael Savage comes on ranting about how most inventions were invented by white men. He argues that because of this, we shouldn't allow immigration from other race into the US. He rants on George Bush for his proposal for immigrant workers, allowing them temp visas to work.

What a load of bullsht!

So I was wondering if there's any Savage fans on ATOT. Let yourselves be known.

I think so. He was ranting on how GW Bush betrayed him and all his conservative white Republicans.

Yes. He's a rather funny man but he has some ludacris opinions. I'm republican and I think Hannity and Rush do a better talk show, Savage just screams. :D

I thought he was getting fired. After someone pranked him with a don and mike (or was it stern) phone call he went off and wished aids and death on the caller.

Rush is the definition of hypocricy. Hannity's not bad, unless he starts going on about religon. I sometimes watch Hannity & Colmes.

To support his views, he was quoting from a great book by a great author that can be found at barnes and nobels. Then he mentions that the author was Michael Savage. LOL.

disclaimer> I've taken money from him for work at his home radio studio.
Can't say I can listen to his show for very long though ( don't normally anyway), his "temperature" is too hot for me. When they canned him from KSFO here , I didn't dial chase him.
He is an interesting person irl.

His original name was Michael Weiner and he appears to be a self hating Jew, and possibly an anti-semitic Jew.

An article to be published in the August 2003 issue of FAIR's magazine Extra! documents numerous cases where Savage rails against the Jewishness of his political opponents:

Remarking that the "degenerate" Jerry Springer uses his "hooked nose" to make a living from talk shows.

Singling out progressives with Jewish-sounding names for mockery with an exaggerated New York accent; Savage even rails against an imaginary ACLU lawyer named "Mark Nobodyberg."

Routinely using Jewish ethnic references when criticizing Jewish public figures; Sen. Joe Lieberman is "throwing his bagel into the ring," Madeleine Albright was given a "Bat Mitzvah party" by North Korea, senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer are "yentas" and Dustin Hoffman talks like he has "matzah" in his mouth.

Contrasting George W. Bush's "high-powered WASPy lawyers" (12/10/03) with Al Gore's "curly-haired boys from NYU" (12/24/02): "I don't like little guys from NYU with big glasses.... You know what I'm saying?"
Savage himself was born into a Jewish family (and originally named Michael Weiner), but on-air and elsewhere, "his Jewish upbringing is strictly taboo," according to a Salon profile (3/5/03). Mark Potok, the editor of the Southern Poverty Law Center?s Intelligence Report, told Extra!, "Whatever is in his head, he clearly makes statements that are anti-Semitic.... Savage operates in a milieu where it pays to be provocative and where his messages can reach Christian nationalists and anti-Semites."

Put him, Hannity, O'Reilley, and Rush in a ring, and let them kill each other. All morons.

I read his book Savage Nation, half way through, I'm asking, Whats the point.
Finished the book, no point was made. He is a jerk.

Read, Larry Elders, Ten Things You Can't Say In America. Many good points are made.
Intelligent, conservative talk radio host, who happens to be black........:sun:

I saw him as a guest on a show once, seemed interesting. Haven't heard more of him since then, perhaps I'll try to catch on Internet/radio broadcast sometime.

Actually, he's an independant ;) I like listening to him, I agree with him on a lot of his opinions, although last night I didn't know what in the hell he was on. I agree that Bush's new immigrant plan REALLY blows, but I don't agree with his invention talk.

Yea, he's a little nutty, but if he wasn't he'd just be another boring person. He gives me a good laugh evertime I listen, and his ideas on borders, language, and culture are right on the money.
