Any external CCFL sound activated modules?

I am looking for a sound activated module that actually picks up noise from the speakers and not from the case, but most the modules I see go inside. Are there any modules that actually go outside or have a mic that goes outside? Also are there any modules that have 12V plugs instead of 4 pin MOLEX ones?
 
I have a cold cathode that you connect to your soundcard output plug using a splitter, It takes up a PCI slot though for the control module, you can adjust how sensitive the light is to the sound. I think its made by raidmax not sure, I picked up at frys didn't have a name on the package cost me like 12 dollars. It only has a 4 pin molex connector.
