The title suns it up. What do you think of them? Tell me about your experiences with them and Dell.

Not on the mark, but my friend got a dell laptop from Best BUy. He got one of those warranties where if it breaks down more then 3 times, they'll buy him a new one. He's working on getting it to break right now. I got him to run Disk defragmentor and scandisk while biking around campus to his classes while running winamp.

ummmm I don't think they sell Dell's at Best Buy.
But getting back to the point, I have a refurb Dell Latitude Cx500. I bought it back in March and haven't had a single problem. Runs like a champ. I took off NT4.0 and put on 2000 and it's rock stable. If I ever need another laptop, I'm looking at Dell refurbs first.
From their FAQ:

<< Q: What are refurbished products?

A: All of Dell's new computers come with a 30 day total satisfaction policy. As a result of this policy, some computers are returned to Dell.

We disassemble and rebuild returned systems to original factory specifications, then put the systems through a rigorous testing program to ensure Dell quality. We even use brand new boxes for packaging! As a result of our fantastic refurbishment process, Dell Refurbished systems include the same limited warranty as new systems.
