Any experience with the Logitech Wheel Mouse Optical?

I'm looking to pick one of these up. How is the response of the mouse? Comfort? Does it go wack when you spin it really fast in FPSers?

Thanks.

Comfort level varies btw user.

From my experience, I've been very happy with Logitech mice. I currently have an optical one, the Logitech Mouse Man Wheel plus, its not the double optical one. No complaints for FPS games for me, but like I said it varies btw users, you just have to try it out.

mine is great... as long as i don't use it on anything with the slightest reflection. i have one of those original intel mousepads... and it goes wacko on it... so i go back to a cheap fabric mousepad and its just perfect. 🙂

I love mine, fits me great 🙂 Sure beats cleaning crusty rollers :|

Hasn't given me any trouble in the 9 months or so I've had it.

mine is great
good for UT
my uncle got a cheap one and ended up taking it back and getting a logitech one like i told him to do in the first place
i will never buy a mouse that isn't made by logitech
i like the fact that the wheel doubles as a button
i never needed all the buttons that the MS ones have and besides they are shaped so weird and aren't comfortable

I just pick up a wireless optical mouse man, keyboard combo (pro) about two weeks ago. So far it's been great, as long as your right handed. 😉

I liked mine up until recently when it started to randomly jut in random directions all the way accross the screen... you can do a search for my post about it if you'd like.

Before then it was fine though, but I'd be a little concered apparently this isn't a very uncommon problem with their optical mice.

I have one its the 200 dpi one I think the SE version. I modded mine and put two blue LEDS in it. It looks awesome! Im also the dedicated sniper on our RTCW team so its a great game mouse as well.

Regards

I am sorta in the middle about it....I love it cuz it last a lot longer and feels better than a regular mouse. The one gripe I have about it si the fact that on mine the button don't go all the way to the edge..and sometimes..since I have bigger fingers...I hit that piece of plastic and by the time I reset myself I am dead in HL... and I have had problems with it doing the random direction thingy too.

Wouldn't do without mine. The sad fact is that they no longer make the blue wedge shaped one, at least not that I've seen.

They make the BEST mice. I am an extreme PC user since it's my business. 14 hrs a day, 7 days a week, 365. I POUND on them, drop them, spill crap on them, and they STILL work. Unbelievable. I've used their conventional mice, trackball, and more recently that 'half egg shaped tall one' with 2 main buttons and a thumb button (it has no name) with a ball and cordless. I now use the MouseMan cordless optical. But....I think they have software issues. I have always had one problem with BOTH of their cordless mice I have used. Does this happen to anyone else?? Every time I 'copy and paste' text, regardless of the size, when I try to move the cursor to the place where I want to 'paste' it, the cursor 'stutters', hesitates and moves VERY slow for a few seconds. This exact same thing also happens when I'm waiting for a webpage to download. The cursor does the same thing. Once the page is FULLY loaded, the cursor is fine. This happens on DIFFERENT COMPUTERS, different hardware, (same OS, win98), and i have tried different software versions for the mouse. I've tried changing channels, and locations for the receiver. There are no other cordless devices around. This is SOOOOO aggravating that I just might have to try the MS cordless optical intellimouse. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or what could be causing it?
