They have them available refurbshed for right around $1050 bucks. I cant seem to find any details about the warranty information, I will have to look into that further.

Assuming same same, what do you think, good deal or spend the extra couple hundred and get a new one ?

unless you can see the monitor functioning in front of your eyes (and inspect it of course) I wouldn't take a refurb. Id hate to have anything less than 4,096,000 pixels.

Be SURE and check the dell forums for reported problems with the model you are interested in. I have a customer who brought a 26" Dell LCD TV, and after doing some research, found that it was one of the most notoriously problem-prone models of all time.

Afaik, you'd be better off grabbing something new, warrantied, and with up-to-date specs for that price.

This is an awesome 8ms Samsung 32" LCD HDTV Display :

Only $1099 w/$32 3-day shipping, great reviews, classy look.

Just make sure your video card supports a 1366x768 output if you want to use it as a PC display.

I will be using it strictly as a computer monitor. The model is UltraSharp 3007FPW, I guess I should have mentioned that ;)
