I'm thinking about cell plans. Thought about T Mobile because they have the most competitive rates. Since it is fairly new...I don't seem to be able to find reviews on it.
Anyone have any info on their reception?
Especially in the West Coast (Orange County, CA) Region...

Any info would be appreciated.

Voicestream works fantastic down here in South Florida... I also get a CRAPLOAD of nationwide minutes for a very good price...

The price seems good but if it sucks in my area...then theres no point.
I guess I'll risk it then. ;)

Just be careful as you'll probably have to sign a contract for a minimum of one year. Are the phones GSM? Maybe somebody will post a hot deal...

Anybody know what the reception's like in the UCLA area? Also how does it stack up with Verizon (which I have right now)?

the phones ARE GSM as it is voicestream that you are probably getting your service from. T-mobile bought them (merged together, whatever) and now they are one company. T-mobile is not "new" as it is one of the largest wireless companies in the world, they are just new to the US I think. As far as I know any T-mobile service you get in the US is voicestream. I have been with voicestream for about a year now and it has been awesome, great rates and good reception. There customer service is even top notch.

I have that phone and it is on T-Mobile. Only for a week so far, but I like it a lot.

T-Mobile is not new, even in USA. They just changed their name recently (I believe they were Viocestream before that).

I'm glad I don't have to worry about coverage. I can choose from 4 competing operators, and I can be 100% sure that my phone will work in entire Europe :).

My sister has T-Mobile service and she lives in Rowland Heights. She says the reception is better than Sprint. It's strange, I have Sprint and live about 4 blocks away from her and my reception is fine but she gets no reception at all. I think it has something to do with the hills around her area. In any case, her T-Mobile reception is fine at her house (Pathfinder/Brea Canyon). I think T-Mobile uses Cingular network where VoiceStream is not available.

Hrm... I'm considering T-Mobile for the 1000 anytime minutes.... I'm on Sprint now though. And isn't GSM on the decline these days? I have had Cingular/PacBell and I hated it. Really hated it.

Would it be worth the switch to T Mobile?
