was looking at some packages on ebay for a nikon d90 and it seems some sellers are highly rated and offer a pretty good price compared to the adorama/amazon prices. does anyone have experience purchasing from the hive of scum and villainy?

Caveat emptor, of course.

As long as the seller is a Nikon authorized seller, you should be OK.

What sellers are you looking at? Cameta is very good, and has a strong Ebay presence.

Yeah, make sure it's from an authorized Nikon seller and that the units are not gray market. If you need to do warranty work Nikon's not going to take kindly to the fact that you bought it from dancingponies16 on eBay.

+1 for Cameta Camera (cametaauctions on eBay). I bought my the D90 lens kit minus the lens from them (same price as body-only, but I got the camera three weeks earlier), and my AF-S 18-200mm VR DX two years ago. They have great customer service over the phone as well; my credit card said the D90 purchase was over the daily limit, so I called them and they split it into 2 separate charges on different days.

hmm thanks... wasn't looking at any specific seller, just people with really high feedback and checking what the negatives had to say.
