Any Experience with Addonics Combo Hard Drive Kit?

I'm considering purchasing an Addonics Combo Hard Drive Kit for use with my main home machine, my laptop, and my office machine. This device, as I understand it, will allow me to fit it with a standard IDE hard drive and use it in one of the following ways: removable internal hard drive, external drive via firewire, external drive via USB 2.0, and/or external drive via PCMCIA. I'm curious if anyone reading has any experience with it. I'd be using it via firewire on my laptop and either firewire/usb on my work/office machines. My main reason for wanting this setup is that I'm tired of trying to keep three hard drives synced.

Anything I should know prior to making the purchase?
