I'm trying to put a system together and looking for a reputable vendor. Monarch Computer seems pretty good. If anyone have purchased products from them please let me know what your experience was.

Thanks,

Monarch has fast shipping and cheap prices. 2 days before christmas I ordered a 800MHz T-Bird & MSI K7T Pro 2-A, Received it less than one week later.

I ordered a 1GHz AMD Thunderbird prepackaged with an Asus A7V motherboard on week before Christmas. It arrived several days before.

All the retail packaging of the motherboard was intact and it worked perfectly upon first bootup (after I finished assembling the entire system).

I should have went with the MSI K7T Pro2A but I liked the extra USB and EIDE channels on the Asus. Asus is also well known for their constant BIOS updates.

According to Asus motherboard monitor my CPU runs around 40 degrees centigrade after several hours of typing, gaming, etc. with Monarch's default CPU heatsink and fan installed. I have an Antec SX830 case with three case fans.

I highly recommend these guys.
Just prior to Christmas I ordered a 1gig T-bird custom system:
I set it up with the best components around... MSI pro2a, IBM HD,
Taisol HS+F, Geforce video, Enlight 350watt case, etc...
I got it within a week. When I called about a price increase on
the motherboard, (they got hammered by Anandtechers), the CS gave me
a better Taisol, a second case fan, and a Logitec Optical mouse...
Amazing! When it arrived I opened it and was pleasently surprized
to see a very clean setup. Everything was tied away to optimize air
flow. It ran flawlessly no matter what I threw at it. All driver updates,
issues and problems were taken care of...
Very impressive. And their prices are some of the lowest online
to boot. Go for it!

Ordered the 1 gig T-bird / MSI kt7 proa combo from them and just got it. Shipped on time works great. One of the rare vendors that are on AMDs recommended list. They sell the motherboard retail with box and toss a 3 year warranty on the chip at oem prices. Not to mention if you buy a combo they will mount a tai-sol hs/fan and test at no extra, it really sucks to get new equipment doa from online orders. If you want to overclock it may not be the best option to get one of the combos but it's not the worst deal out there either. For me, I don't want to overclock and having those guys mount the hs, the cracked cpu/mounting issues are on their shoulders not mine. Order away =)

This place has won my future business... bought a mb/t-bird combo 5 days before christmas and got it on christmas eve with regular shipping cost. They bumped the shipping up for free due to the holidays i suppose... great customer service and a great price for 1ghz and msi pro2a

awesome site

They are good...I live like 25 min. from the store. I found their price to be the lowest on a combo I was looking for and didn't realize how close they were located until I was almost done with the online ordering......went to the store and they pre-tested my MSi/T-bird 850mhz combo while I waited...nice place.

I ordered an OEM 1.2 GHz T-bird.

OMG the package job they did just blows. The processor came with only one layer of very small bubble, bubble wrap in a FED EX box (like you would sent documents in). No other padding or peanuts, it was sliding around inside the box and, well enough said.

Last CPU I ever order from them.
