I am getting one. The idea of beaing able to record on a dvd & then just pop it into the dvd player seems very cool. Anyone have any exp with one? I found one for around $825.00

) and it was the lastest tech or whatever anyways, we played with it for a bit... its pretty much whatever mid/high range sony dv cam (which are nice) using dvdr/rw small disc media...

but i think the drawback of not being able to rewind and record over usiding dvd dics over minidv tape sucks...

oh im def no expert on camcorders.. just based of what i saw the 10mins i was there.. and the salesman wouldnt shutup.. irriatting!
