any electricians out there? (melted video card resistor)

I was jumping my CMOS on my DS3 (awful placement under video card) and forgot to plug the video card fan back into the mobo (brand new 7900GT) and 30 mins later it burned up. As far as I can there is only one resistor that melted. It says "1R5" on the top of it and it has copper wire coiled around it. Here's a pic. Anyone know where I can get on of those or have any tips for me?

Considering that part is not cooled by the cooler on the video card, I would venture to guess that you messed up whatever regulates the power level to that resistor, which then burned up the resistor itself. Inshort, the resistor shouldn't be to hard to replace, but you probably have other bad components.

Zolty is right. The most likely thing to have failed due to heat (other than the VPU) is the power MOSFETs - test and replace those, then the resistor.
