Any electricians in the house?

I have a problem that I think is electrical. I have a TV that, when plugged into an outlet in the house I'm at, the speakers produced a constant, high-pitched buzz that is noticable from across the room. This also happens to the speakers of an alarm clock. But when I take the TV to a different house, there is no buzzing; everything is fine. This house I'm in now is pretty old, so I was wondering if the problem is caused by the electricity, and if so, what exactly is wrong with the electricity.

If you turn the TV plug 180° does it still produce the audio noise?

Something else is on the same circuit that could be causing the line noise?

The outlet that is producing the audio noise must be on the same circuit as another device which is inducing the line noise.

Or the wires feeding that outlet run beside other wires that are producing the noise.
