plugs may differ, but the new dryer will have specification on the acceptable amperage (do not exceed) and voltage.
You can switch plugs easy enough...

Edit, er wait I think I see. I was reading the words around the socket itself which says 30A 125/250V. The actual dryer itself is 24a 115/230V so I guess anything lower than 30a 125/250V will work fine?

I'd rather buy one that works out of the box if possible. Is there any way to tell if the plugs are compatible?
