Any EET grads here?

RU482

I have a 2 year degree in electronics, and I can pretty much go back to school for free. It looks like I can walk in to my local university's program as a sophomore.5 or a junior.

I really liked most of the jobs I've had, except for the fact that I would cap out after a year or two salary and opportunity wise. And, I was contract at the jobs I really liked. If I had had a 4 yr degree, I would have been hired direct alot easier.

So, just curious if anyone here has a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
If so, what have your post school experiences been?
What jobs have you had?
any other comments appreciated

I have a degfree in Eloectrical and Computer engiineering at Rutgers university. just graduated in may. I got a consulting job in times square.. woohoo ME! classes sucked i hated all of them. but I got drunk a lot... and that was worth it. classes are nothing like your job. you gotta cdcept them. and i'm mildly drunk. i'm gonna go too sleep. w oohoo me!

I've always thought of EET as a copout for people who really couldn't make it as EEs?

exactly in my case...I have no desire to learn all that theory. I've worked with enough engineers who would whine about not getting to do the hands on stuff that I got to do. Like I said, I really liked the jobs I had before, just not the fact that I was always contract.

oh, and fvck you

I thought classes are nothing like your job after a few co-ops with a small company near the Univ I studied at. Then I just got an intern with this DoD company and it feels like I am using all that I've learned in my classes (which I sucked in). 🙁

To the OP, I knew some guy that switched to EET from EE because our advisor was a bitch. He ended up regretting it, but do whatever you feel you comfortable with. Don't forget to push yourself at times.
