Any EE's used OrCad Capture/PSpice?

I made this really simple circuit in capture to test out the program and when I go to simulate it in PSpice, it tells me that all the nodes are 'floating'. I made sure that everything is connected and that the circuit has a ground. Any ideas?

I've seen the interface, and thats about it. As a way the hell out there long shot, maybe your using floating grounds and not earth grounds?

Theres like 10 to choose from, do u know which is right? Its just a simple dc circuit with a few dc voltage sources.

I believe the symbol to use has three horizontal lines, triangle shape and "0" next to it.

One more question, I added a current controlled current source so my circuit and I cant figure out how to set it to different ratios. Like lets say my controlling current is Io and I want the dependent current source to spit out 2Io, I cant figure out where to set it to 2x.

try double clicking on the CCCS and check for the properties in there. You should find it somewhere in there

When I double clicked on the part, the only property that seemed like it might be what im looking for is 'gain'. But it was locked at 1 and wouldnt let me change it.

are you clicking on the actual part or on the number by the part? if you double click on the CCCS itself, you should get another window that has a lot of properties

I think I got a bit farther, I replaced the CCCS (part G) with a CCCS (part GPoly) which lets me set the coefficient, although it still isnt doubling, its just making one negative and one positive.

Shift+G (Place Ground)
pick 0/Source (Looks like ground symbol with a 0 next to it).

you have to choose the 0 ground.

triangle w/ a zero next to it. Any other ground and you'll get that error....
....
to get that part, you have to go part list, and it's in the source library...this is for the free downloadable version...sometimes, it's also in the ground button, except browse for it in the source library

Wow.. you actually use the graphical interface? I prefer text entry. It wins in the area that you don't have to watch your wiring, but little pain in the butt when you need to duplicate many blocks.

woa there's a text entry?!?!!!!!

I ALWAYS GET STPUID ERRORS WHERE I DIDN'T PUT LIKE 1 pixel worth of wire on the screen ....ugh.....especially on larger circuits.....

well, for duplicating, can't you just copy paste?....errr...hehehe....
