Question for any easynews subscribers here - what sort of sustained download speeds do you usually get, and what sort of connection are you on? I typically see ~800KB/sec, and am on cable. I am wondering if the limiting speed is on their end, because I can get consistently faster speeds from other websites.

I used to get awesome speeds from EN, maxed out at 6MB/sec (that's megabytes, not megabits) Since they did away with their route selector I've found their speed has dropped off quite a bit, and I'm lucky to get 2MB/sec sustained now. Still can't complain, ~16mbit is decent enough. 😀

If I'm sitting in the datacenter, I have hit up to 20MB/sec with a few downloads going at the same time. At home, I always max out my cable connection.
