I travel a fair bit at work and am frustrated by having to mess with network settings all the time... isnt there some way to store network profiles so I can tell my pc when I am home, or at work, or in a hotel, and it will automatically remember

a) TCPIP setings - statis or dynamic, DNS servers etc
b) details of proxy server, userid and paswd for it

I am sure thousands of users need this feature so there must be a quick and easy way to do this...?

And I don't mean a user profile ...I know how to do that. I would like to have the same user settings everywhere I go (email accounts, cookies, saved passwords etc)

thanks for that... looks like it would work, but unfortunately, also looks like a lot of work.

anyone know of a (preferably freeware) utility that will do all that and with a nice windows interface??

I was going to say that Netswitcher works, but we had to license it.

should be able to use netsh scripts, and dump them in the start menu so you can click on them. netsh or vbscript. Learning a little will make your life easier on many many things.
