Any easy way to rename my Xbox?

The name of my Xbox currently is "Stumpy". I have no clue why. Now I've read from places like here that setting a high score in Dead Or Alive will do what I want, but is there any other way to do this if you don't have that particular game?

The games I have: Halo, NHL 2003, NHL 2K3, Sega Rally/JSRF.

you mean like when you turn it on , it says

"hi my name is stumpy, how are you doing today?"

"which game are we going to play?"

?

does it show that name on the screen?

i have never really looked at an xbox

I played 7-player Halo on 4 networked Xboxes last Sunday night. Each system and the players on it are listed by system name; my Xbox was called Stumpy. I'm looking for a way to rename it.

I have heard if you beat Halo on legendary it will let you. You could use a save game exploit and go hex edit the file containing the name, if you don't have a mod chip.

i always just assumed you could change its name when you turn on the XBOX in one of the startup option screens.



mine is "wheezy"

Mine is called Shadow. I think, I just played some DOA3 and that was the name it gave.
