Any early 780i reviews?

I am not sure if I should go X38 and go hd3870 (Xfire later on) or wait for the 780i and buy a 8800gts G92 (SLI later on)

But I think I remember the 680i was not that good a chipset?

680i was imho a good chipset. It was plagued by early issues that were fixed by either board revisions or bios updates. There are some people on their 4-10 boards however on some forums and while that is a little high, the amount of people that blew up p965 boards is high as well. OCing quads is easier on P35 chips now and we are very due for a little love from nvidia.
