I'm looking to buy a DVD player for my aunt as a gift. Her TV is only a year old, but when she bought it, the only thing it came with was an RF output. Only other player I've seen with an RF Out was a model by RCA, which isn't too good. Anyhelp would be appreciated.

I've never seen one, b/c half of the draw of DVD's is the picture quality. My friend had the same problem. He had to go buy a converter box at Best Buy to do it, RCA's to Coax. Cost about 30 bucks, but he can watch DVD's now. He says it's good, but not as good as mine with the S-Video, obviously :)

late.

You sure it (TV) has no RCA in's
I though it was the law or something for a less then 1 year old TV to have RCA video in.

Yeah, I can't believe either a TV would not have RF Out considering it's only a year old. But she bought the TV at a very cheap price, it's a 27 inch and it cost her around $250. It's made by General Electric, the TV was so cheap because it only had RF out. It has no RCA outputs either. Iv'e been skeptical about those RF modulators, because I don't know how the picture quality will turn out. All I want to avoid is the distortion lines that ussally run across TV's with RF output's. Like my little cousin has a Dreamcast and uses an RF output with it and it looks real ugly. All kinds of ugly lines running on the screen. That's what I don't want.

Oh well, thanks guys.
