Every google search I try only provides me with burning programs for copying movies and music with little else. However, I intend to do a clean install of Windows soon and I want to back up the contents of my harddrive on a few DVD discs before I do. The problem is that while Windows will let me burn any kind of content I want to regular CD discs with my NEC 3550, inserting a blank DVD results in Windows not even acknowledging the disc being in the tray. I have been able to make copies of DVD movies with Clone DVD, but I can't seem to find any basic burning untility that will just let me burn general HDD information of different types like Windows allows me to do with regular CD R's. Is there any kind of freeware for this kind of task?
