Great soundtrack, but an okay movie. Has some good lines and the casting is pretty spot on, but overall, it is certainly overhyped. It isn't some groundbreaking work.

Thats because it was so good lots of things took from it and cheapened it.

It was done in 2001 and it didn't age well. Watch some of
Fincher's early work and still just as good.

Is it worth watching now, or is it just too aged? I bought the DVD but never watched it. I think I watched a couple of minutes and pulled it, don't remember the reason.

That video is pretty cool. Well, the only cool part is the nymphets dancing, but that's super cool because they are super cool.

Now, after watching that video, Youtube just segued into a cat explaining Donnie Darko, it's entitled Donnie Darko Explained. I watched a minute of that, didn't want to spoil it for me, but he starts saying it's about time travel. Jeez, I hate movies about time travel. That doesn't mean I won't like it but figure the odds aren't great. OK, The Terminator and Terminator II were good. Back to the Future, I liked that. Titanic, I love that movie but it's not exactly time travel. Weird sci fi that relies on time travel, feh.
