I am curious what other people think about this. I didn't really hate ricky for leaving. The team was so pathetically bad that they would have won maybe 2 or 3 more games with his help, if that. I'm sure he saw that o-line and since he had run more than anybody in the league the last two seasons, he knew it would be the same thing, and he'd be running into an 8 man front every play and wrecking his body--permanently, running backs especially experience chronic pain and medical problems after retiring (them and linemen get it the worst). At the same time, I dunno if you ought to bring him back, it seems like it could be a major team chemistry issue and he could just leave again and make saban look like an idiot.
Then again, if it works out and he really does want to play, you would have an absolute wrecking crew of a backfield with ronnie brown and him--the best 1 2 punch in the league by far, especially since neither has had any injury issues. Ricky just had a year off, and brown has very little mileage on his legs since he shared carries in college. Ricky was probably top 3 in the league while he was there, and that was playing behind a pathetic oline--imagine what he could do paired with brown and a better oline!
Course if they don't find somebody other than feely or fix the oline they can put jim brown and barry sanders in their prime back there and the phins will lose 10 games.
Any thoughts anyone? I'm curious.
