Any disadvantages to AEBS?

Do you reckon an update to the Airport Extreme will be coming soon? Other issue is the 3 ports which I'll fill up right away... if I ever add more devices I'll need a gigabit switch. Any other downsides if you are currently using one or have used one?

Current household:
2 Macs, 2 iPhones, 1 iPad
1 Windows PC
1 Synology NAS

Future devices to be added to the network: HDTV, PS3

Mine is fine, although if I set anything on top of it, it's prone to overheating. Otherwise, it's been happily chugging along for three years.

I bought mine about 2 weeks ago, whilst overpriced it is a good router. I guess key reason to get an AEBS over a quality router from another brand is if you need to HDD sharing.

Airport Utility and configuring it works nicely, it's quick to reboot and apply changes. Streaming HD content from the HDD to XBMC works well... can't complain really.

But yea, pricey.

Got mine on craigslist for quite the discount (hardly used). I love it, mostly for the simultaneous dual band and USB port so I can backup the network computers to it.
