Got a new Fuji FinePix 2650Z to replace my FinePix 1400Z. Right now I have the 2650Z set at 1MP for pictures just for quanity. Well when I open the pictures they are HUGE. My old 1400Z's pictures were about 4x6 on the screen but instead of 1MP,2MP, etc. It had a setting for 640x480 or 1024x768.

Is there a way for me to open pictures from the 2650z so they are about 4x6 size on the screen? Here are examples of what I mean by size
Picture 1from 2650Z set at 1MP
Picture 2from 1400Z set at 640x480 Fine quality

Another thing is say I scan a 35mm picture and want to print a 3x5 or 4x6 or 8x10. How do I set it to print at those sizes?
Any other tips you can provide would be great.
Thanks.

kanton, when you open the file, you have to set the display to something like 50% actual size, or you can do a fit to screen. how to do this depends on what program you use to view your pictures.

as for the printing, the printing preferences for whatever program you use to print the pictures should have a "fit to size" option which allows you to set real dimensions for the print output.

hey Mday long time no see.

I forgot to post back here I got the printing ordeal worked out. HP stuck their photo software in the menu and I didn't see it. Was looking through the desktop icons.

I use IE just to view my pictures just because it opens within the same window. If you know of a nice "viewer" let me know but I've always liked using IE.

acdsee or slowview. ifranview is another popular one, but i don't like how it scrolls thru. Acdsee 3.1 is probably the best thing to use.. 4.0 just gets bloaty for a viewer.
