Any difference in internal DVD burners?

Need to grab a DVD/CD burner and can be internal. Are there any differences between Asus, LG, Samsung, Lite-On?

When I built my old rig 10+ years ago it was Lite-On all the way. Still that way? All are within a $1 of each other on amazon ($21) with prime shipping.

Had to jump on a few good priced items on amazon before out of stock so went with Lite-On. After a little reading, lite-on is still a main player in OEM for the other brands.

It probably doesn't matter much. But write quality aside, which may be difficult to gauge, there are differences in specific areas like LG's M-Disc support, PIE/PIF scanning capabilities, label burning, DVD-RAM, some differences in read/write speeds in specific disc formats.

There are some differences between brands if you rip audio CDs for a living. For the rest of us, any of the normally $15 drives is fine.
