Any difference between the different cable modems?

I am signing up for cable modem, and probably want to get my own modem since it will save me $10 a month. The supported modems are the following:

Motorola ? SB3100 or SB4100
RCA ? DCM226, DCM235 or DCM245
Toshiba ? PCX1100, PCX1100U or PCX2000
Best Data ? CMX110
DLink DCM-200
Com21 DOXport 1110
Linksys BEFCMU10

Is one better than the other? Will I get better performance from one over the other?

BTW, any reviews on these equipments?
