Softball gloves have much bigger pockets because a softball is much bigger than a baseball.

Well he actually asked how to tell the difference between gloves so I figured common sense isn't a strong point of his, Red.

You actually want to know what the difference is?? The Softball gloves are usually bigger all around and stiffer. Wait that sounded weird:shocked:

Nah that's because they're too slow. They can't swing fast enough to hit a baseball. They can't round the bases fast enough when a smaller ball can be thrown.

You ever try to hit a fast pitched softball? Keep in mind that they fire it at the batter from only 45' away.

43 feet, for College Softball. My daughter got almost a full ride to a D1 school...she doesn't pitch, but her best friend does....

interestingly enough, outfielder baseball gloves are just as big as most softball gloves.
