Hi everyone,

I have an old intel pro 100B nic & an p4b533e mobo. Is there any diff between the onboard nic and the pro100B ?

One good thing about the 100B is when I install any OS, I don't have to load any nic drivers. I just want to reduce clutter in my computer.

Regards,
Jose

VE is the value addition. It misses some hardware features that the Pro/100 Management has, but probably will not be discernable to the average user.

It depends on the revision.

I'd perfer the VE over a really old revision of the 100B.

Can't find any rev. info.

But the chip says: S82557
L7093672
SL24Z
copyright 1989 1995

I guess it's pretty old.
