Any Diesel truck guys here?

From what I understand most domestic manufactures don't recommend using bio-diesel and I know Ford will void your warranty for using it.

Bio-diesel gets lower mileage compared to normal diesel and tends to clog fuel filters at a very high rate, every few days; the cost of maintenance greatly outweighed the savings.

The school buses here in town started using it, they said it was working okay but the milage was a bit less, and sooner or later cost will catch up unless regular gas prices go higher for them. They've turned to a 75/25 (75% reg diesel, 25% bio) mix so it saves a little bit during the school year, they were running 50/50 during the summer no problem though.

As far as lower miliage I will accept that. Seeing how B100 would cost around a dollar a gallon.

There are plans out there on how to use an old water heater to make it. The plans say the project would cost around 200 that freedom fuels setup costs something like 3k.

Who told you that Ford voids warrenties for people that use BioDiesel?
