Any Diablo 2/hack 'n slash fans looking forward to Sacred?

I've played most of the demo for sacred and it seems like it will be a sweet game. I was a HUGE fan of Diablo 2 online and only a few months ago managed to quit that game. This game looks like it could be a good alternative to Diablo 2. This is pretty biased but after playing diablo 1 and 2 i've weighted all hack and slash rpg's against Diablo, and so far none have come close to it. This game seems like it may have a chance. I believe there will be free multiplayer where you can play through the actual game, and there's a lot of little things I like about this game. Mainly the nice looking 3d graphics, and the ability to ride horses to cross long distances quicker.

Oh, and if there is anyone out there still playing Diablo 2 online(expansion, ladder, us east) I'll be more than glad to give you my accounts. Most of my mules have expired but the main characters and old, old mules are still there. I got on last night and gave away a level seventy something sorceress set up(tal pieces, shako, occy, and stuff) and the kid wen't ballistic with joy, lol. The scary thing is I used to be like that myself.(One of the main reasons I decided to stop playing)

Anyways, Diablo isn't the subject here, Sacred is. It looks to be a fun game. I'll propably buy it when it comes out. You can check it out here at their homepage. The release date on the website says quarter 1 2004.

EDIT: Hmm, just saw something cool on the website. You can keep your character and move it up to the next difficulty level(i.e. diablo 2's normal, nightmare and hell modes).

You rock dude! I've been looking for an alternative to D2. I've seen every nook and cranny of that game like 50 times over. I'm going to go checkout that demo tonight.

I would be glad to take your old D2 char if u don't want it. Just PM me the account info or something. You can always yank it back with a password reset.

Anyone else have an opinion on this game? I played the demo for about 10 minutes before I got lost in other stuff.

I played the demo. It was nice, but I'd rather play games like Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. The old hack-n-slash style gets old for me.

Although I did like riding a horse in the demo. Ramming into bad guys was kinda neat.

The attack system was weird. I found it hard to click on a baddie and have my character attack them without pausing. If I clicked and held the mouse, my char would run over, but not attack. I would then have to try to click again, but since the smaller baddies were covered by my char, it was hard to click on them...

the release date is tomorrow. i just bought baldur's gate last night at walmart to check out the game but i'm probably going to return it now.
