Any deals currently running for investment websites?

I'm wondering if there are any promotions going on (I've looked but haven't been able to find any) at investment websites currently. I'm going to have about $5,000 to invest and I'd like to get a little bonus if there are any out there, otherwise I will probably just go with etrade.

Thanks. :)

i just got an account at scottrade, and so far like them pretty well. Their trades cost only $7 and many mutual funds have no transaction fee.

I'll look into that. They sound pretty decent.

If you want to buy mutuals, go with firstrade. Both scott and first have a referal bonus, something like 5 free trades. Let me know if you want one for either.

Trading or buy-and-hold, individual stocks or mutual funds?

If you plan to buy and hold mutual funds you can set up an account directly with vanguard.com and get their funds like VFINX without a trading fee.
