If your a Deadliest Catch fan you know what I'm taking about.

Basically, what episode when the Greenhorn Dane Tebo is harassed and pushed past his limits by veteran deckhand Freddy Maugatai for refusing to get a Mohawk? Then Tebo attacked Freeddy in back and started to fight. (Season 9)

I want to know what Episode that fight took place? Any fans here know? I don't want to download the wrong episode because it will take me like 20+ hours to download a episode because my internet sucks :awe:

Really appreciated!

Poor Dane. All he did was decline to have his head shaved into a Mohawk. He seemed to be a hard worker. Freddy and the rest of the crew really didn't need to do what they did.

Keith is a terrible captain and he is to blame for the situation that developed.

Sorry as a greenhorn, you take the abuse. That is the way it works on a crab boat.

Dane tried to attack Freddy when his back was turned. Dane even said as much that he wasn't going to fight fair. He got what he deserved.

The only thing I agree with you about is the fact that Keith is a terrible captain. I constantly pull for him to get blank pots.

dane had a very unique thought process.

sucker punching the biggest guy there(hesitate to call it a punch as it was more of a hissyfit) is something you do in prison when the rules of ordinary society dont apply. when you are on a boat in alaska and any misstep can get you crushed/dragged to the bottom of the sea/decapitated, you really dont want to piss off the experienced deckhands who are the only ones who can/will save your life.

his attitude sucked and he got what he earned.

that said, im half afraid to watch the next episode as the teaser showed what looked like a hand getting smashed and a massive spray of blood right after.

But there just is not enough footage shown on tv to determine whether he typically has a shitty attitude, or he just clashed with Freddy's shitty attitude towards greenhorns (what was up with the octopus throwing?). The Wizard has a history of pissy greenhorns, other boats don't have that same "luck", about time they re-evaluate themselves a bit.

I agree with that... the hand looked half gone! Was that Lenny?

It looked to me like Keith may have (eventually) sided with Dane instead of Freddy if Dane hadn't thrown a punch. Throwing a punch was a really bad thing to do.

Strange part is Freddy's attitude towards greenhorns even after last season(?) when he rode the greenhorn hard and then the guy had a seizure or something and had to be helicoptered out. Freddy was feeling bad for treating him like he did.

Throwing the punch was not right, but based on the footage that was aired, Freddy was 100% in the wrong, and Keith is an idiot as usual. Dane was perfectly in the right not to want to get a mohawk. If that's a requirement of the job, then they should specify it.

This "logic" Freddy used would have gotten him canned at most employers in the country, and probably gotten the employer sued.

If someone throws an octopus at me while I'm working around heavy machinery in an unsafe environment, I'm going to label them as a dick, as well as a danger to the safety of everyone around them.

If Dane was going to punch him, too bad he didn't do it right then. Would have looked a lot better, and made more sense.

yea that was fucked up. the guy worked hard but just because he didn't get a stupid mohawk he is fair game to be assaulted with words and octopi. I lost all respect for Freddy over this. he really showed a dark bully side that i just don't tolerate. the only one who created a Toxic Environment on the boat it was Freddy, oh and fuck head Military washout Keith encouraged it.

keith just loves "confining" people to their quarters, funny he is the only boat capt that has ever said those words.

It would have been better if Dane had tried harder to fit in with the rest of the deck hands, but he makes a fair point when saying that he's there to work and shouldn't have to put up with others intentionally making his life "hell". I get that he's the "greenhorn" and should expect some mild hazing along with all the dirtiest jobs, but what Freddy was dishing out in words and actions was way beyond what was reasonable. And that last bit of threatening to let Freddy beat him up when he got off the ship was really classless. Is it any wonder that the greenhorns never work out on the Wizard?

I wonder how Dane would have worked out on the Northwestern?
