Any Custom Roms for a ZTE AWE

Hey all,

I was wondering can ZTE AWEs be flashed with Custom Rom's. I`ve heard this phone has a dual core processor thats been locked to a single core thru software.

hey im in the same situation as you please let me know if you hear anything Ive rooted flashed oc kernel but Id like to have cyanogenmod custom rom or something different. If youd like to root your phone let me know Il give you step step instructions.

Im still waiting on any Cyanogenmod, but that avenue is currently a cold trail. Not many excited modders onboard.

There's not much on XDA that I can find but you can find guides on how to "unlock" the 2nd core here: http://androidforums.com/awe-all-things-root/

The second core is not locked. At least on mine it is not. Run cpuz and I see the second core turning on and off.

^thanks for the info, I have got to see it. My CPUz is only recognizing the device as single core. Nothing indicates a second core, like you stated but I`ll update after tonight.
