I believe dual cores are out. But these are focused on servers and high priced tickets.
Unless there going to be a desktop dual core later this year?
Intel dual cores seem like a better buy because of the price. Maybe AMD will just drop the price of dual cores to compete more with the intel chips. Granted the AMD is a better performer but pricewise you gotta go with the Intel.

Will the dual cores improve gaming performance? Or just multitasking like dual CPU's.

I dont understand people who justify holding off on buying say a 3200 venice because they want X2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but last I heard the cheapest one will be over $400, and its not going to offer many real-world gaming benefits, especially if you overclock. Can someone explain this logic to me please?

The boost from a 3200+ to a 4000+ isn't very big but adding an entire extra core willl do LOTS for performance. As long as they are willing to pay for the two cores, they will be happy with the results.
